January 16, 2008

10:00 pm PST - Very windy and cold. Estimated gusts of 40-50mph from the northeast. Some small tree twigs and branches down.

5:30pmPDT - 30 mph gusts, Estimated. Small tree twigs down, debris being blown around.

10:00amPDT - Small tree twigs down.  Lots of dust being blown around.

October 22, 2007

6:00amPDT - Winds becoming very gusty.  More branches and twigs down.  Will go surveying the damage around 7 or 8 am.  Also the smell of smoke in the air from the OC fire.

3:30pmPST - Lake Forest, Ca - Winds are northeast 20-30 sustained with some gusts nearing 45mph.  The wind is coming and going in bursts.  It is also a cold wind, as Kevin said it would be.

3:30amPST - Light rain is beginning with the start of Winter Storm Dominica.  Temp is around 60 degrees.  No wind to speak of.

5:00pmPST - Very gusty Santa Ana Winds.  40-50mph estimated top gusts.  This is including those seen while driving on I-55 north to Fullerton.

12:00pmPDT- 83 degrees at 12pm according to my weather station. Very warm and dry outside. Doesn't feel like March at all.

11:00amPDT- Almost 90 degrees outside at 11am!!! What kind of season is this. Summer, or spring? It is definitely not typical late April weather at ALL, that is for sure!

12:00amPDT- Light drizzle outside. Appears to have just started as the ground isn't even wet yet. NWS has no mention of this in their zones.

11:00amPDT - The overnight moisture surge has raised temps significantly and also increased moisture in my area. It is currently 85 degrees or so with a dewpoint of 65 and humidity of 64% according to my weather station.
