What is the definition of a REAL Meteorologist?
The way I see it. There are no PRO METS. A Pro Met should be able to forecast precision for the entire world correct?
Yes. The categories I developed for Meteorology should be good, and implemented in the system.
Forecaster - One who forecasts for a private firm with beginners knowledge of the area.
Meteorologist - ANYONE that forecasts weather. These people must display media and interview proof from people they know what they are doing.
Pro Meteorologist - Knowledge of the entire world ( RARE! )
Degree'd Meteorologist - A person who has a Meteorological degree in the field. These people studied math and physics to get the degree. Not all Degree'd Meteorologists can be smarter than a Pro Meteorologist of a CERTAIN GEOGRAPHICAL AREA.
Pro Meteorologist of........a certain area - Knoweledge of the entire area, and able to display proof that he/she has extensive research and knowledge to it.
I am considered a Pro Southern Californian Meteorologist. I have extensive knowledge and research in Southern California Weather as I do live here, born and raised. I have the proof in the press, and the people that visit the website to get their forecast. Also a couple interviews on radio, and an educational website labeling title "Meteorologist"
